No one, not even Alcubierre has seriously considered this as more than a mind exercise to teach quantum field theory. Other theoretical physicists have shown that while the Alcubierre bubble could be shrunk to the size of a proton (reducing the negative energy requirements to that of a small star), placing a real mass in that bubble will create an insurmountable Weak Energy Condition violation.
In any case, I don't see any relation between what is proposed in these thread and Alcubierre. After all, Alcubierre simply used General Relativity and didn't try to develop a unified field theory. Remember, Einstein spent a great deal of his life trying to develop a Unified theory to no avail.
