re: Strange how fast people forget the main Apollo legacy
All the astronauts who went to the Moon remember one thing first:
The view of Earth from the Moon.
It is very important for mankind to realize it lives on a planet, in the darkness of space, rotating once every 24 hours.
Meteosats only show one side of our world and generally in colors helping meteorologists, rarely the true colors.
But then, if Bush can sell VSE, we'll have that view eventually, but not with the Moon in orbit around the Earth, which would have been possible from L1.
