Since 1945, the leftist movement in America has sided consistently in these wars with whichever side was the puppet of the U.S.S.R. If you have an exception, let me know. If you go down that list you mention, most of these interventions involved Cold War issues. Oddly, the people of the Soviet Union never complained about their nation's imperialism.
People incapable of abstract thought might have believed that, all else being equal, there would have been no difference during the Cold War between a goon working for the Soviet Union running many of the nations around the world, and a goon working for us. I have a different opinion.
But then, those people considered the two powers morally equivalent anyway, and have even declared that the only reason there WAS a Cold War was that Amerikkka provoked the People's Paradise.
