When there was that spate of idiots aiming lasers at planes I was really worried there would be trouble for the laser guide star program. We have to renew our agreement with the FAA every year- I was worried that the incidents would make the renewal process more difficult. It wasnt a problem.
If more incidents occur, it could create a problem. I hate regulations and paperwork, but perhaps requiring a license for all lasers over a certain power is a good idea...
