The weakness of corporations
is that all they care about are profits. There is no national pride or patriotism, next quarter's profits are all that matter. A privately held company isn't concerned with next quarter's profits having to be x % above those of last quarter. They aren't beholdened to stockholders (many of whom may not even be Americans) to keep cutting costs. Ford is going to be closing many plants, but not the ones in Mexico. They are going to be closing the ones in the USA, IMO that makes them a non-American corporation. Maybe their favorable tax breaks should be reexamined.
Start treating these bastards like foriegn corporations, they sure as hell act like it.
