Believe me, I am a big fan of the market getting the job done, and while the government shouldn't own the nuclear plants, I have no problems with heavy regulation of them, any more than I have with laws that tell truck makers what minimum specifications they should have for tanks to transport toxic materials on the highways. I'm libertarian, but I'm not L. Neil Smith.
A lot of issues could be solved by putting waste, power plants, and reprocessing facilities inside one big secure facility. At the very least, waste storage and reprocessing should be co-located.
