If we can't get along with humans who happen to look just a little different from ourselves and worship different deities and prefer soccer over baseball, what hope is there for us getting along with beings with vertical eyes, to say nothing of even stranger configurations?

I'm sure there are enough people who would be absolutely fascinated with alien biology to make possible a bridge between the species. Don't take any notice of any rigid and stupid reactions you might find in this tiny neck of the woods. I found that photo a mild curiosity, at worst.
