Like Eric Dressler, HdG forecast lots of developments (1996) that show no signs of happening 10 years later. In '96 he was on the verge of big stuff with his Brain Building...

I now coin Phil's Law: there are several popular technological developments that will always be 20-50 years away

I'd nominate: cure for cancer, AI, fusion power, nanotechnology with assemblers, manned Mars missions (hope to be wrong, but haven't been so far)
