After it's been demonstrated for the umpteenth time, one loses any shred of respect they may have had for the true believers and neocons. For starters, conisder the insensitivity such as that in the thread below. Why mock another's religion after being told it's offensive? The answer is that they are prejudiced, blind to anyone's sensitivities other than their own. They don't care. Closed, petty, small. And unwilling to ever understand anyone else. Completely unwilling. That's a definition of ignorance, by the way.

The same people glory in the "Religion of Peace" nonsense while they justify the US torturing, imprisoning secretly, starting an illegal and unjust war with all the suffering which goes with that. Under the banner of Christianity.

They howled their guts out over broadcasting misquotes, which were in fact true, and are completely quiet over Bush's demonstrated lies. Post after post after post screaming "ain't it awful", and no outrage over lies which will cost the US $2 trillion and caused suffering which can't be calculated in the process. Because they didn't like one man. And their leader didn't like one man.

They hide behind patriotism while never having served in the Armed Forces and bitching about their taxes. Think of the mindset which accompanies that particular combination. They accuse others of treason in the process.

Those same "patriotic" people applaud as GWB and his ilk gut the Constituion. What do they consider their "patriotism" to be for, the US or are they worshipping political leaders? Clearly it's not for the US, a nation founded upon law and the equality of people. As clearly they are worshipping political leaders as they have no principles other than expediency. To be patriotic is to support the Constitution against the depradations of politicians.

And last, as the lies of their heroes unravel, as they are seen to have been dupes, as the thin threads to which they have clung break, they hide. Can't admit they were fooled, and fools, can't face realities. They hide.

Cowards.

Nope, it's impossible to respect 'em. I thought about naming them, and I realized I might leave out someone, so I won't. They are despicable examples of humanity, however, all of 'em. No morals, no ethics, no standards except for the other guy. They believe the other guy should behave morally, ethically and with high standards.
