Damn straight it ain't 1920. But it will be if you and your friends get your way. You've all been mighty nostalgic for the Gilded Age lately.
And my grandparents came here for probably the same reason yours did. The USA was a progressive country, where you could make it even if you weren't a plutocrat or an oligarch or a landed aristocrat.
