Lemme give you a brief description of my day:

I got 2 1/2 hours of sleep when my muse (that bitch!) woke me up at 4 a.m. to write on this short story I've got going for a contest. Second time this week she's done that.

I was finally sleeping this morning when the phone rang and woke me up from a sound sleep, come SOB trying to sell me something and I'm on the DONOTCALL List.

So a Visiting Nurse was here dressing a hard-to-reach wound which prevents me from sitting here at my computer for very long to work on my writing. (which means I shouldn'ta been talkin' to you guys nohow noways). She is a little right of center and started lecturing ME on how Trickle Down Economics is good and why we have no jobs, blah, blah, blah. After she and I almost came to blows, I let her dress my wound.

While this was going on, Fly by Night Roofing comes to my door wanting to check my roof for damage. Can you say, "If I'd have had a fucking gun, it wasn't the roof that woulda had a hole in it..."

So she leaves and I'm trying to sleep again when Retirement Solutions calls to sell me something. I was not polite.

So I go back to sleep and the phone rings AGAIN and it is Quality Fly Night Roofing calling me. I screamed into the phone, "CAN YOU READ A FUCKING DO NOT CALL LIST YOU SON-OF-A-BITCH!"

So I gave up. Trust me, this is NOT a good time to call me or come to my door. I'm putting out a sign: "Go ahead, knock on my door. I need the target practice."

Now, compared to all that, TB is a sweetheart on my good guys list. He would NEVER call me or come to my door. Of course, after reading this, he would know better, now wouldn't he? :-)

Oh, and TB is a Zoner. That makes him family.
