I read this in the paper the other day and though I dismissed it initially, it swirled around my head for awhile and I began to do a mental checklist of conservatives and liberals I know.

Surprisingly, after assessing my own friends, relatives and acquaintences the numbers bear the theory out. From clinical depression to simple down in the dumps frustration those who embrace liberal ideology seem perpetually depressed. Here on the HZ it seems frustration and depression motivates one heckuva lot of left posting.

Maybe liberals DO need to embrace conservative thinking to find true happiness.

The de rigeur hate of the oh-so-enlightened only leads to depression.
