The sanctions were a major point of attack on the U.S. by liberals, and the tallies of resulting deaths, however accurate or not, were on every website and article.

Suddenly, now all I hear from the same people is that "sanctions were working." And I'M inconsistent?

You don't get to say "this data doesn't COUNT any more." when discussing these issues.
