You're overemphasizing our differences by trying so hard to be fair and balanced. I haven't chosen a politician by anything other than the lesser evil in a long time. Not since I was an idealistic 18 year-old who thought McGovern could end the Vietnam War.
The reservation I have about term limits is that it's kinda like an alcoholic favoring prohibition, a crutch. Maybe it's not the law that's the problem, it's just our lack of discipline and skepticism that keeps us from doing what we already have the power to do: Throw the bums out!
The mods have to be self-skeptical as well as watch each other. When I was doing it alone, how often would I run to Community to ask for a second opinion? I'd make a lousy politician because I lack that arrogant certainty in my own infallibility.
