I have a cousin that is working as a government contractor in the area.
Supposedly, he had to let all his workers go because the agencies that hired his company are not paying $ out on contracts that have been completed by his firm: So he has no money left to continue paying the employees.
That eliminates any chance that small firms will compete for future work...They just don't have the resources to wait out a slow pay cycle.
