What should have been done....
was some type of payment distribution to the locals who WANT and NEED work to rebuild their communities. The government monies could have provided the raw materials and tools, heavy equipment, etc.... and let the people of N.O. rebuild themselves.
There would have been incentive and co-operation.
To hear this story David, while we spend billions rebuilding Iraq for a people we have no business with, is a shameful testament to this President's poor judgement and failed legacy..
