Saw the first episode
I liked it. I've been as aware of the show over the years as any sci-fi fan, but never got hooked into being an actual Dr. Who fan. Didn't dislike it, didn't warm to it either. But this latest incarnation (what is it now, going on 50 years old?) may be like Battlestar Galactica, a remake that surpasses the original. The most important thing in a Dr. Who is the characters and their warmth and humor and general likeability--this isn't hardware sci-fi--and this one has some charmers. I give it a thumbs up.
