The 'inflation theory' is wrong!!
The animals were big because the atmosphere was so dense that the animals 'floated' in it like whales do in water.;-)
I the 'original' know this because today (according to RL) the air pressure is only... (well ask RL he's the expert), and way back then it was hundred times thicker. :-)
