About the nature article- does anyone have access to it?

As far as I can tell, Dr. Ireland never claims that his data supports these silly theories of solar system formation. All he claims is that the amount of O16 is reduced from what theory would predict. None of the stories I could access on the web have said how much it is reduced, or what his error bars are, or what alternate explainations were investigated and ruled out... how they distinguished between oxygen from the solar wind and the oxygen inherent to the moon dust from its formation...

For instance, they looked at the oxygen isotope content in the surface of moon dust grains. O16 is the lightest of these isotopes. It is not unreasonable to consider the possibility that it would outgas from these grains faster than the other isotopes. Nor is it that unreasonable to think that the sun is depleted in O16 since O16 would have an easier time reaching escape velocity. The oxygen isotope ratio in our atmosphere varies with atmospheric temperature...

Anyone ever read the article?
