While your points about the invasion and history are valid, it HAS been 4 months since the election. The lack of progress in forming a government can be attributed directly to one faction of the UIA who insist on keeping a PM who the rest of Iraq's political parties reject. If Jafari had any consideration for Iraq he would withdraw and let a unity government be formed. Instead the asshole cares more about his own personal power. The US and Britain playing hardball may be one way to get progress.
