LEDs

Snapped up LED Christmas lights as soon as they started coming out. Lights that don't burn out? I'm there.

This past year, I found some rated for outdoors. Since I never take them down, I consider my house the acid test.

When I put the indoor ones up from last year some bulbs didn't work. What's up with THAT??

They do "flicker," like a fluorescent bulb. Unlike fluorescents, I don't think there's much hazardous waste in them. I wonder how many "greens" who push fluorescent bulbs realize they're supposed to be recycled separately from the trash and other recyclables.
