Since there were only 874 generals as of Jan 2006 that would be one hell of a turnover rate.

You being ex military would have known that of course.

Course that figure includes 435 Brigadier Generals/Rear Admirals(L). How often does that pay grade get into policy/strategy discussions with Sec Def?
