We can go to the Moon, but we're still monkeys with car keys
Human beings need to focus on/look up to for guidance from one main
person - the Alpha Male. Neil should not feel too bad about people
focusing just on him as the key person who got us to the Moon. They
can't help it. Besides, if he had failed, future manned missions to the
Moon might have been delayed or even cancelled. So even with all
that backup, it was ultimately up to Neil and his crewmates to make
history or else. They were there; everyone else was 240,000 miles
behind them.
