Why are we worried about CO2 emissions?

Rising sea levels? To save somebody's ritzy beachfront bungalow? Because we've gotten used to air conditioning and now we're very much aware of how uncomfortably 'warm' it gets during the summer?

The polar ice caps are melting at a rate of 250 cubic kilometers per year. There's nothing we can do to stop this process that has been going on for millennia. On the plus side, all the carbon that used to be biomass millions of years ago and was buried is now being released, and will once again become biomass.

Maybe we shouldn't worry too much about the rain forests either. They'll grow back!
