Since the Koran knocks off large portions of the Old Testament, if they go after the foundations of Christianity they go after the same roots of Mohammedism.
And do you REALLY think that many Christians are going to turn to Islam if their religious faith is shattered?
No, this is a time when new age philosophies, Wiccans, fence-sitters and atheists add a few to their ranks.
And let's not forget - Christianity is a very flexible religion. They've rewritten the bible before, countless times, and there's no reason new denominations with a "modern day Christianity" and their own, revised yet again, version of the bible wont emerge to pick up the fall out from the 175 or so other denominations that will doggedly perservere with obsolete and less persuasive rhetoric and writings.
As long as they can play on ignorance, fear and loneliness - religions will have a booming business.
