Place names

We talked about BabyHead Mountain here before. I had mentioned it because down below it is a Llanite Dike (llanite is a very hard granite with blue quartz crystals, and this is the only place in the world it is found). Somebody asked where the name came from and we did some digging on the internet.

As I get older, I find I enjoy learning history much more than I did in school. It is interesting learning where place names came from.

Why do History teachers make history so boring? All mine wanted us to learn was names and dates.
