I see I was all over the place and before I read your post I started thinking about board as in a boarding house after seeing a definition of seaboard as in a resort on the coast.
Now it's back to board as in a plank.
Oh, I should have mentioned that I was hearing the word seaboard and recently from weather people like the Weather Channel describing conditions on the east coast.
