It's amazing that in 1945, AC Clarke imagined 3 huge manned satellites in GEO for communication....and we're now with hundreds of profitable unmanned satellites in GEO and no one fusses about it....But that's the trend....Do it unmanned whenever possible. The question is : why send humans at all in space ? Or rather: is there any reason besides tourism that can justify humans in space?
