Space the tourist, instead.
As a kid with an enormous and obsessive interest in astronomy, it took me almost a year to save enough money to buy Norton's Star Atlas and a 7x50 monocular. Today, I'm mature enough to understand that the big rich kid's space toys are different only in degree, not in kind, from mine. But in spite of that, I find the idea of space tourism offensive. None of us has a moral obligation to spend ourselves into poverty by helping the poor, but some things just go too far.
