Current Events » in reply to Anarchism in the 19th century and Jihadism in the 21st

Interesting post......................both movements......

Were fueled by fervor and zeal. The chief distinction being the Anarchist by an idealized intellectual view of how the world should be, and what you are calling Jihadist, by an idealized religious paradigm.

I never thought of the parallel before, but then all things are comparable one to another, with the proper adjustments. Religious conformity is one of the recognized tenents of conservative movements, but in the modern Islamic case it has been extended to as wide an extreme as liberal Anarchism was in the 1890's. The problem is the same for the rest of us: extremes test the survival of those who choose not to believe in their "revealed truth."
