If you want to go back further, and a lot farther into speculation, I do not believe Al Gore would have gone for full regime change in Afghanistan, choosing the proven (to him) techniques of Bosnia/Desert Fox-type air attacks to go after al Qaeda there. How would that be going by now? Who would be running Afghanistan?
