"Intelligence officials said the munitions were found in ones, twos and maybe slightly larger collections over the past couple of years. One official conceded that these pre-Gulf War weapons did not pose a threat to the U.S. military before the 2003 invasion of Iraq."
Similar to what I said:
"But it is a further instance of Saddam violating the cease fire agreement. And as one of our concerns was that Saddam would give such weapons to terrorists, we have found enough stockpiles for this kind of limited use- in hands of terrorists this kind of quantity would be a serious threat [100,000 people could be killed with just portion of this stockpile]. Though this quantity of stockpile would not be significant for use in a battlefield- and may explain why Saddam didn't use them- he simply did not have enough- at least not enough to use against the US miltary which had protective suits and was a highly mobile military force."
So of course I agree with some of this, but our concern over Saddam's WMD was not because it was a particularly lethal threat to our miltary- but rather because it was violation of cease fire agreement. And Sadam's long history of failure to the follow the cease fire agreement require numerous UN resolutions, the Oil for Food program & other sanctions, and maintaining the No Fly Zone.
