Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things she gave her life to broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

If she can make one heap of her Nielsen ratings
And risk it all with one controversial bit on Fox,
And lose, and start again at her beginnings
And never gulp down a spoonful of Malox;
If she can find a talented make up artist
To serve her turn long after her youth is gone,
And crop her locks when they begin to age her
And fight the urge to tell the barber "Hold on";

If she can go on Leno and keep her virtue,
Or walk with Presidents & not lose the common touch;
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt her;
If some men count with her, but none too much;
If she can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds' worth of rebuttal run -
Hers is the media and every group that's in it,
And - which is more - she'll be having fun!
