Yes that is all true.
It is also true that Iran is largely behind the current goings on in Lebanon...
Maybe Iran thinks that if they can get Isreal bogged down again in Lebanon, that the Isrealies are less likely to make a strike against Iranian nuclear sites.
Unfortunatly what the region needs is a little more instability right now: There needs to be a govenment overthrow in Iran and Syria to really shake things up...the sooner, the better.
