In five years the RightWing spin machine will have managed to make each every disaster during Bush's terms in office somehow all the fault of Democrats. The likely cant will be that Democratic "partisanship" (as contrasted with the nonpartisanship of unilateral Republican actions) prevented the saintly Republicans from implementing enough of their schemes to make them work. If only they'd had a "permanent Republican majority", then they'd have shown us, so they would.
