Constant international surveilance, talks, negotiations, are the only route to peace. Tripling the violence in retaliation is NOT the road to peace, especially when innocent people are continually killed. That's STATE terrorism.
Occupying a country is not the road to peace.
Torturing people is not the road to peace.
Throwing out the Geneva Convention and decades of international laws brought about after two world wars are not the road to peace.

How the idea that bombing civilians and causing massive infrastructure damage solves the problem is beyond me. It's overkill.
It's the hardliners looking for revenge ("well, we were attacked"), that proves their point but doesn't help the slightest in resolving problems.
