Delbert, I agree that it's disappointing that the facility didn't just let you roam around as you probably used to be able to do in the past. However, for a family of four including a wife who's mobility is starting to slow down a lot, it was quite the blessing to have everything right together in a well laid out air conditioned building.
The cost of admission wasn't much more than you'd spend going to an IMAX theater here in Phoenix and you got to reach out and touch history. The IMAX movies might have been a bit dated but then again, the manned space program has been pretty much sitting stagnant the last few years. You can hardly blame them for not having much current.
All I know is that dollar for dollar we got so much more value in our few hours spent at NASA than any day we trodded along on sore hot feet at Disneyland and we learned a lot while it happened.
I'd go again in a heartbeat.
