Nothing idiotic there.

One simply observes the faithful dedication to an agenda. The media pursues their agenda ruthlessly. One has to understand why they do what they do. Why Israel?

Israel, is as much as anything, viewed as a US proxy. From creation to today, the US has been Israel's greatest friend and in turn Israel has loyally stood on the US side of the aisle in various Mid-East conflicts and political struggles.

Depending on where you read your news today you will see varying degrees of slanted journalism. In French, British and European news agencies you will see the demonization of Israel. In US & Australian controlled news interests you will see somewhat of a counter-propagande in the hyping of Mel Gibsons anti-semitism which is used to try and remind the world of the prejudices still harbored by many.

It's all quite predictable and by now you should be completely familiar with the process. The rest of the world feels not the slightest bit of remorse at portraying Israel as a monster.

Israel simply hasn't paid enough money to Europe. Had it purchased more planes, military equipment and supplies from Europe in lieu of the US, we would see a slight shift in editorial slant from the EU media concerns. Saddam was a paying customer, Iran is a paying customer, Sudan is a paying customer. The EU treats its paying customers very good and conveniently looks away when these nations commit atrocities.

So do you see the bottom line, Tom?

Why do the EU media outlets demonize Israel and try to spur anti-semitism?

It's blackmail, pure and simple. If Israel starts shifting more of its spending power to the EU rather than the US, the propaganda pieces will abate. However they know this will never happen and so demonize with abandon and prejudice.

On the flip side of the coin, the US & Australian concerns will show support of Israel, though because they already have Israel's patronage and political support, they certainly don't knock themselves out about it. Like the gardener you pay in advance rushes the job while the gardener awaiting payment goes the extra mile and even edges the lawn , here in the US, we already know Israel will remain a US ally & customer.

You're good at research. Look at who owns Reuters, AP, NY Times, WP, etcetera. Then compare coverage and what's being banner headlined. You'll get to the point where with one glance you can tell EU versus US media owned coverage.
