IMHO, if 1% as much creative intelligence had been applied to producing, planning, writing, directing, and acting as was applied to television technology, it might be worth watching. I don't watch it at all, unless stuck at a car dealer getting a car fixed, etc. This hour per year that I am subjected to confirms my opinion that there is absolutely nothing worth watching, with the exception of old movies that were produced, planned, written, directed, and acted with intelligence. I get old movies out of the library so I never am bothered with commercials, and I see them whenever I want to.
In short: Television is worthless. HDTV is worthless at higher resolution with high-fidelity stereophonic sound.
If you take manure and serve it on the finest enameled porcelain dinnerware, with solid gold flatware, it is still manure.
