I promise. You get hungry enough you'll eat snake, rat, mouse, yes, mouse, and

find octopus, squid, mussels and clams to be delicacies. Been there, done that, didn't care for some of it but it was better than nothing by a long, long ways. I roasted them, chopped them up as small as possible, mixed them with lukewarm water and drank it. Then tried to keep from vomiting. Most people cooked it, chewed it up and swallowed it and I'm sure I would have gotten there eventually.

And I suspect, but don't know personally, that human organs and muscles would also be eaten by starving people. By most starving people.

Hunger is a pernicious sensation. It goes away after a few days, but if you eat anything or take vitamins it starts to work and work and work on you, goes away, comes back, kinda grinds you down. And if you don't eat you get kind of goofy, your thinking is affected.
