But my curiousity is raised by how you define <"the United States and its values .."> that the "left" opposes.

I would interpret that to mean the United States, as represented by Republican neo-cons, and the values the left opposes would be strictly Republican values?

Gosh, forgive me, there I go again asking questions to which I already know the answer.
