You mean the parallel geography?

The Civil War was a civil war on the North American continent. The continutation of the nation was at stake in a fundamental way.

Americans were killing each other.

Slavery, a fundamental conflict that went back all the way to the Continental Congress, practiced in some parts of the nation and not in others, was the primary issue underlying the war.

You mean those parallels?
