It is very easy to get into a position from which there is no reasonable way out. That's why it is so important for leaders of powerful nations to take due diligence in making moves, and have a very, very good plan for following through. Especially something as serious as war.

Neither of which GWB did. Through deceit, lies and arrogance, he's gotten the most powerful nation in the history of the world into a position where it is trapped and helpless, floundering and foolish. And the ROW knows that and is enjoying the plight.

All of which was predicted.

It's not the job of anyone else to bail out George and the United States and the world. He's screwed it up so very, very badly that he should do the honorable thing. Hari kari, taking with him the other people who have so badly failed a trusting American public and the world.

What would liberals do, indeed. What ARE conservatives going to do with their mess. Obviously staying the course is the least reasonable path.
