The higher up you go in the capitalist stratosphere, the closer the similarities become between the Fowl mo and big business.
Basically, the book is a primer on how to be very evil, but with a heart of 24k gold underneath that makes it all ok. Oil company executives give Artemis Fowl books to their kids and hope they'll learn something about the necessity of being ruthless and ever prepared.
And LEP is the ultimate parallel to the Dept. of Homeland Security, making Foaly the parallel of a weapons development contractor with an inside track on govt. acquisitions.
So be sure to make all the kiddies read it...
