Space/Science » in reply to yes, you get a good measure of surface "roughness" from RADAR.

Fair enough.

Well, if there's additional data not available in the article referenced originally, I'd be interested to see it, if it provides finer resolution or more detail...?

Or are you just speaking in general terms about what radar tends to "see", and not this specific instance?

Anywho, if you've got links to more specific, or better resolution data, it might be nice to be able to flip through. Since the dumb-speak press releases are often glib and gloss over importand details that people interested in the subject might want to know.

As is, I stand by my assertion that the photo in the original article is a Rorschach, and difficult to make out any fine details, including whether or not there are liquids present. But blowing it up, you appear to be able to make out some small amount of detail that appears to be the bottom of the "lakes." But I'm guessing that the instrumentation used makes it difficult to tell if/whether there's anything in the depressions? Since it seem to have basically "imaged" the hard surfaces and not much else?

If there are other images of finer detail, different instrumentation, or other reports with more data/understandable detail, those would be more interesting/useful/meaningful.

Thx in advance.
