and all the little people out there who worked so very hard to make this possible for me.

Even though I accept it knowing that I won under somewhat false pretenses, I realize how important it is to others for me to have this.

In all honesty I do not think nuclear proliferation is a good thing. I believe it is a horrid matter, and should have been discouraged by force starting with China. Anyone attempting anything remotely resembling the capacity to think about nukes should have had those facilities bombed (conventionally, if possible) back to sand and cement.

Eisenhowers "Atoms for Peace" was the worlds last chance to contain this terrible menace peacefully.

And I believe that "preemptive aggression" is a more serious threat to world peace and tranquility, and whatever it takes to encourage a world of laws rather than a world run by megalomaniacal egos is a positive force in that direction.

Having some knowledge of the war the US has been waging on North Korea for the last 50 years, their fear of the US is not unfounded. The US has taught the North Koreans that given any chance the US would destabilize their government.

There is no chance North Korea will use nukes unless attacked. Contrary to the demonization currently going on, they are not crazy. And, the nukes prevent the US from seriously considering an overt ground attack.

I'm far more worried about that Pakistan plutonium reactor cranking out enough material for 40 to 50 bombs per year. They DO have a track record of proliferating nuclear technology and could use the money from those things.

So, I accept the honor, knowing that I received it for being in favor of a world run by laws rather than maniacs.
