Be grateful the bar is high
If the bar for treason was as low as RightWing extremists insist, and the standard had been applied fairly, half the Republican Congress from the 90s would still be behind bars in Leavenworth, or worse, for their rabid snarling at President Clinton.
I know it's as hard for RightWingers to grasp that freedom of speech protects everybody, as it is for a fundamentalist to understand that freedom of religion protects everybody, but it's true, like it or not. What keeps your hated Democrats out of prison for their opinions also keeps Republicans out of prison for theirs.
