What would you do?

Me, I wait until they're done, and then ask them if they would vote for "Powell" for president. I suppose people years ago would have brought up Jackie Robinson. Or Sammy Davis Jr. (I remember an episode of All in the Family where someone did that to Archie. Famous kissing scene.) Or the Mills Brothers, or...

Now if I'm with a person I've known for a while, and they suddenly pop out the word "nigger", I bring up a common admired person of color who they also know.

Usually the individual makes the clarification that "niggers" are black people with characteristics which they despise, whether those charcteristics are shown by blacks or whites or anyone. Some are using the word "whigger" to decribe white rappers who glorify degrading women, and those who emulate them.

Now last night I was in a bar, and the fellow I was talking with used the word "nigger". Turned out he would vote for Powell instead of Hilary.

It ain't Gallup, but I swear, I think you could organize Klansmen for Powell.

If Chappelle wants to use that, he can put on the white makeup and go on ahead and do it. It would make a great bit.

By the way, the usual commonly used word for "african" or "african descent" in Russian is "nigger", and it's simply descriptive for them - "black".

Kind of like hearing "douche" in French.
