Simple.

First, forget the word "God". Paul Tillich, a noted Lutheran theologist, says that by the age of 21 a person's notion of what "God" is has been junked up by preachers, politicians and others to the point that it's meaningless. Catechism tries to make the concept understandable to little children, and comes up way, way short. Most people never change that first "understanding".

Second, forget the "Santa Claus - Executioner in the Sky" god. Doesn't exist.

Third, forget the "First Cause" god. Irrelevant. "First Cause" doesn't translate into a mean son-of-a-bitch with a kind son.

Fourth, forget that "religion" is "spiritual". Spiritual is inclusive, doesn't judge, doesn't exclude. Read the red print in the New Testament. Organized religions as understood in the West are not spiritual. It's "us against them".

Now, I don't have to see a bear to know there are bears around. I can tell from what they leave behind.

There are several laws which can only have come from a spiritual power. In the material world it is illegal to print money. In the spiritual world one has to print and give away the currency in order to get it.

Love. To experience love, love someone, something first.

Respect. The same.

Friendship. In order to have a friend, one must BE a friend.

And the opposite is true. If one hates, one will get hate. Period.

That's the other side of the same coin. The Buddhists call it karma. That exists.

Groups can work for good, and do more than the accumulation of individuals. Or, they can be lynch mobs. Very little difference, really. Both empower the individual to do what he/she couldn't alone.

That dichotomy is known in conventional circles as God and Lucifer. Both - and, creatures of the same spiritual laws.

And I don't have the slightest idea who wrote the laws. And I know whatever it is is my Higher Power. And since words are a function of ego, and god is the lack of ego, god cannot be described in words.
