The whole family stinks of corruption through and through. They're like the Black mafia of Shelby County. An uncle, former state Sen. John Ford, is awaiting trial on federal bribery charges. Another uncle, former state Rep. Emmitt Ford, was convicted of insurance fraud in 1981. The congressman's father, former Rep. Harold Ford Sr., was indicted in a federal bank fraud case but was acquitted.
